Mon Habitat for Humanity expands to Preston, Marion and gets new name

KINGWOOD — Mon County Habitat for Humanity is extending to Preston County and changing its name to reflect that move. Habitat Executive Director Shawnda Cook told the Preston County Commission last week that the group’s name will soon be Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity. Marion County is also being added to its service area. The group is looking for a board member from Preston and a piece of land to build on in Preston County.
