Woman arrested for stolen car after allegedly shoplifting from Sam’s Club

A Pennsylvania woman is in custody after Granville Police found her in possession of a stolen vehicle following a shoplifting investigation at University Town Centre. Sgt. A. Huyett with Granville PD was called to Sam’s Club Monday to investigate a series of shoplifting incidents that had occurred earlier that day and on July 29, criminal complaints said. Kingwood has two applicants for police chief position

KINGWOOD — Kingwood City Council has received two applications for Chief of Police, according to acting chief Charlie Haney. Haney retired as Kingwood Chief of Police in May 2021 when Doug Montague took over as interim chief. Haney was with the Preston County Sheriff’s Department for 32 years, starting as a jailer/dispatcher, and retiring after serving as chief deputy.
