Terra Alta town employee accused of assaulting town recorder

KINGWOOD — A Terra Alta town employee was accused of grabbing the town’s recorder and lying in a police investigation.Wesley David Nazelrod, 62, of Terra Alta, is free on $2,500 bond. He was charged by Senior Trooper L.S. Hall with assault and providing false information to a trooper. CHARLESTON — A part-time employee at the Huttonsville Correctional Center has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting additional precautions at that facility. The individual, who is quarantined at home in good condition, has been serving as a temporary correctional officer and last worked a shift of less than four hours May 14.
