Driver killed in side-by-side rollover on River Road

The driver of a side-by-side is dead following a rollover accident Friday on River Road. At about 8:11 p.m., Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies responded a single-vehicle accident near the area of the dam. Once on scene, officers discovered a Polaris 1000 side-by-side had rolled on top of the driver. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. August is National Breastfeeding Month, and as new legislation enables more new mothers to pump at work, Monongalia County Health Department WIC counselors have something to celebrate as breastfeeding rates climb higher. The recently enacted Pump Act for Nursing Mothers, known as the PUMP Act (dol.gov/agencies/whd/pump-at-work), allows for reasonable time and space accommodations for breastfeeding in the workplace.
