Dr. Brian H. Huggins hit the ground running when he joined Monongalia County Health Department as the incoming health officer on April 1.  The health department has been undergoing a strategic plan process and  Huggins stepped up to lead two town halls only six weeks after starting his new position.  Huggins was seeing patients on days when retiring health officer Dr. Lee B. ReTails moves to WesMon Plaza after 14 years at Morgantown Mall

The bittersweet moment of the first day of school

Summer has officially ended in our household. My 6-year-old went back to school and started first grade. We have counted down the days, made sure we had school supplies and anxiously awaited the new school year.  I am so thankful that my daughter was excited about going back to school and not sad or scared.
