West Virginia University’s TEDxWVU event “What’s Next?” April 9, in the WVU Canady Creative Arts Center Gladys Davis Theater will feature four speakers. Lauren Marquart, Rebecca Erwin, Rania Zuri and Dr. Clay Marsh will address a variety of topics encouraging visionary conversations and spreading new ideas. WVU receives $8.9M from feds for COVID-19 relief reimbursement

WASHINGTON, D.C. — West Virginia University and WVU Medicine’s City Hospital on Tuesday received a total of $8,929,787 for COVID-19 relief reimbursement. This funding, provided through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency, will be used to reimburse emergency protective measures as a direct result the COVID-19 pandemic, including personal protective equipment purchases, testing and screening sites, and disinfection services. BY WVU TODAY Supporters of West Virginia University donated a record $15.5 million Wednesday during the university’s fifth Day of Giving, a 24-hour online fundraising event held across the university system.
