Morgantown boys’ lacrosse team falls to Wheeling Central 7-6

MORGANTOWN — Nate Goldcamp scored two goals for the Morgantown High boys’ lacrosse team in a 7-6 loss to Wheeling Central on Tuesday. Ethan Host recorded two assists. Goalie Hank Herald had seven saves. The Mohigans (7-1) will play again at 7 p.m. Friday at Berkeley County.

CHARLESTON — A man took his own life at the state complex earlier this week, according to the state Department of Military Affairs and Public Safety. “Capitol Police responded to the report of a self-inflicted shooting Sunday morning at the Veterans Memorial on the Capitol complex campus,” DMAPS Director of Communications Larry Messina said Tuesday. “The individual involved was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.” The man was identified and his family contacted.
