Sober Living Rally for Recovery hosts fundraiser

The first ever Morgantown Rally for Recovery will raise money to support West Virginia Sober Living. “It’s so easy to see all the drug use and people struggling with it,” the rally’s co-chair Angela Kudurogianis said. “A lot of times we don’t appreciate all the people recovering right now.” The rally will be from 4-9 p.m. Saturday in the Sabraton Plaza behind Defense in Depth. Christine “Chris” Martin, the former WVU journalism dean who turned Pulitzer Prize-winning reporters and war correspondents into professors at her school, has died. The Reed College of Media said Martin died Wednesday in Florida, where she had launched a media and marketing company, after serving years in the senior administration of the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, a leading journalism think-tank in St. Petersburg.
