Charge against Hoard upgraded to first-degree murder

KINGWOOD — The charge against a man accused of a weekend shooting death was upgraded to first-degree murder Thursday. Aaron Glenn Hoard, 33, of Morgantown, was originally charged with second-degree murder in the Nov. 3 shooting death of Grant Felton Jr., 38, of Terra Alta, outside Shorthorns Saloon in Terra Alta. Deckers Creek dam project could continue into next year

KINGWOOD — Work is progressing on the Deckers Creek dam project, according to PSD1 Board Chairman Rodney Liston. However, he said, it might not be completed by the end of the year. Liston said at a meeting last week the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) gave the district a 98% completion on the water source side of the dam.
