The Morgantown Utility has announced a planned water outage from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday along Monongalia 857 (Cheat Road/Fairchance Road) between Sunset Beach Road and Sugar Maple Hill.
Route 857 will be a single lane in front of the Lakewood Center between 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
The outage is necessary while MUB crews tie into the main water line on both sides of Route 857.
Residents and businesses along the following streets will be impacted:
Berkshire Drive, Shannon Drive, Tarbert Court, Cardiff Drive, N. Harwich Circle, S. Harwich Circle, Jo Glen Drive, Foothills Lane, Vorbach Drive, Cryster Lane, Quarry Run Road, Adams Heights Road, Smokey Crest Drive, Twin Knobs Drive, Woodsfield Way, Grace Lane, Birch Hollow Road, Skyview Apartments, Goodwin Hill Road, Kathryn Drive, Donaldson Court, Alderman Drive and Sugar Maple Hill.
The work to date has involved replacing 140 feet of 6-inch PVC main that runs adjacent to and beneath 857 due to a leak.
The pipe placed beneath the roadway was directionally drilled to minimize traffic disruption.
