Fairview man faces drug charges following Blacksville bust Friday

A Fairview man was arrested on drug charges Friday after Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies seized meth, suspected fentanyl and other substances. According to a release issued by the department, deputies were dispatched to a drug incident, near the Blacksville Post Office. An officer and his canine responded to the call, near the 7-Eleven in Blacksville. There, Deputy Hall’s K-9 indicated on the driver’s side door of a vehicle. CLARKSBURG — The U.S. Marshals Service is asking for the public’s help in apprehending 30-year-old Jamie Ray Jones in the north-central West Virginia area. Jones is wanted on a West Virginia State warrant for attempted first degree murder and kidnapping. He has a history of weapons, violent tendencies and fleeing.
