Reedsville woman charged after giving marijuana to a minor who then ran into a window, shattering it

KINGWOOD — Police say a Reedsville woman gave a juvenile marijuana to smoke and the child ran into a window, breaking it.Angela M. Marconyak, 53, is charged with misdemeanor child neglect. Her bond was set at $500 when she was arraigned this week. The alleged incident happened March 7.According to the criminal complaint by Preston Sheriff’s Sgt. S. Injured bartender sues The Bank for not protecting her during a fight between customers

A bartender contends she was permanently injured during a fight between customers and is suing the bar in downtown Morgantown for failing to protect her.Kailee Fessock, a West Virginia University student and bartender at The Bank, 344 High, was injured on April 5, 2019, according to the suit.Fessock is seeking damages to compensate her for injuries and damages, attorney fees, interest and other costs.The Bank could not be reached for comment. Monongalia County voters elected two new magistrates and two seasoned magistrates in Tuesday’s primary election. Ron Bane won the Division 1 race against D. Ponch Reyes with 9,631 votes. Reyes received 9,041 votes. “I’m excited to be able to work for the citizens of Mon County,” Bane said. “I’m blessed to have this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to taking this challenge on and doing the best I can.” This will be Bane’s first time as a magistrate.
