Tamarack Foundation creates ripple effect for local events

This January, the Tamarack Foundation for the Arts jumpstarted its Ripple program within the Morgantown community, designed to bring $10,000 to the local community to initiate two artistic projects. As we age, it can become more difficult to keep up with academic and social skills.  The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at West Virginia University offers a solution for older individuals who wish to expand their horizons, by offering memberships for anyone over the age of 50. Local food pantry damaged during water line break

A water line break at Scott’s Run Settlement House (SRSH) earlier this week caused major damage and losses to the local food pantry. The building that suffered the damage is the old day care, not the original settlement house building, which remains unaffected, the group said in a Facebook post. The upstairs and downstairs pantry area had extreme flooding and damage along with the loss of at least 7 refrigerators/freezers and multiple shelves of food.
