Old Stone House: Service League wraps up 23-24 year of giving

The Service League of Morgantown, known for owning and running The Old Stone House gift shop, 313 Chestnut St., in downtown, has completed a record-breaking year of charitable giving. The League’s Charity Partners program pairs local nonprofits with weeks through the fall and holiday season, traditionally the busiest time of year at the Old Stone House, and then donates to each of them 10% of the organization’s assigned week ’s profit at the gift shop. Pollinator Project plans plant sale for for April 20 at Mylan Park

They fly, buzz, creep and flutter, always in a quest for a meal —a bite here, a sip there. They’re pollinators, nature ’s workforce carrying pollen from one plant to another. But many of them are in trouble. The Morgantown North Rotary Pollinator Project launches April 20 with a Pollinator Plant Sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mylan Park, lower level, next to the Operation Welcome Home greenhouse.
