West Virginia Caring is holding its 28th Annual Camp Caring Saturday at Chestnut Ridge Park, 10 miles east of Morgantown.  Camp Caring is a free, one-day grief and loss camp for children and the adult in their life.    Since 1996, West Virginia Caring has held a grief and loss camp to support children in West Virginia who has lost a loved one. Old Stone House to host book fair July 20

Vacant Greenmont house burns Thursday

A vacant residence at 629 Pennsylvania Avenue in the Greenmont neighborhood of Morgantown caught fire early Thursday morning, requiring firefighters to respond.  According to the Morgantown Fire Department, when firefighters arrived on scene, they reported heavy smoke was showing from the first and second floors of the building and eventually flames could be seen.  To extinguish the fire, MFD said crews turned their hoses on the house and made an aggressive interior attack on the empty structure.
