Dolores Tiberio

Dolores “Boots” Tiberio, 91, departed this life Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Boots was a woman of grace, strength and unwavering love—a true blessing to all who knew her. Her life’s work was devoted to caring for her family and sharing her selfless love with them.
She shared a rare and enduring marriage with her beloved husband, Felix, one built on deep devotion, partnership, and a lifetime of love.
Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, and in the hearts of her family, she will always be remembered as the very best. Her love was constant, her presence comforting, and her legacy one of kindness, resilience, and quiet strength.
To know her was to feel cared for. She had a gift for making others feel at home, offering warmth, wisdom, and a steady presence through all of life’s moments. She lived her life with intention and heart, and the love she gave will continue to echo through generations.
She is survived by her loving children, Kelly Elder of Evans, Ga., and David Tiberio and his wife, Becky of Beckley; four grandchildren: Jordan Martin, Megan Harris, Katherine Elder and Brandon Wooldridge; and three great-grandchildren: Madeleine and Graham Harris, and Everleigh Wooldridge. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as her son’s mother-in-law and dear friend, Phyllis Wooldridge.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Felix “Flip” Tiberio; parents, Joseph and Grace Lawson; brother, David Lawson; sister, Janet Christopher; brothers-in-law: Michael “Geno” Tiberio, Vespucci Polce, Louis Dupont and Paul Christopher; and her sisters-in-law: Rose Polce, Helen Dupont and Olive Mae Tiberio.
Her passing followed a sudden illness, and while her loss is immeasurable, her family finds peace in knowing they were blessed with her presence and that she knew how deeply she was loved. There are no regrets—only gratitude for a life so beautifully lived and a bond so deeply cherished.
A memorial service will be held at St. Zita Catholic Church in Masontown, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. Graveside committal will take place at Masontown Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
