Colleen June Moore Skotnicki, 94, of Morgantown went home to the Lord on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
She was born in Weirton, West Virginia, April 13, 1931. She is the last of four children born to Earley Ludivick and Audrey Moore.
She moved to Morgantown with her parents at an early age and attended local public schools. She was a long-time employee of the Monongalia County Courthouse and Morgantown City Hall. Colleen was a member of the Saint Francis Catholic Church as well as a volunteer at Christian Help non-profit organization and the Senior Monongalians.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Edward Skotnicki (2005) and her son, William Skotnicki (2014).
She is survived by her children, Robert Skotnicki (Cristine) of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; and her daughter Carol Skotnicki Areford (David) of Morgantown. She has two grandchildren, Christopher and Ashley Areford; and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Raylyn, Jonathan and Bryson.
Colleen enjoyed bowling, spending time with her family, friends and work acquaintances and following sports. She was an avid baseball fan and particularly loved following the Pittsburgh Pirates.
She had donated her remains to the WVU Human Gift Registry.
