Gayle Ruth (Sherwood) Childers, 73, of Tunnelton, passed away peacefully, Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, with her loving husband, Emery E. Childers, by her side. They were united in marriage on Sept. 23, 1983. She was born July 14, 1949, in Washington D.C., a daughter of the late Quentin and Ruth Sherwood.Gayle was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, she enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, going to the Kingwood and Tunnelton Senior Centers and visiting with family and friends.
