Gift to RNI advances Alzheimer’s research in memory of late WVU alumnus

The family of a WVU alumnus has given a gift to WVU’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute to advance groundbreaking Alzheimer’s disease research. The gift from Sharon Miller establishes the Miller Family Alzheimer’s Research Fund, which aids research focused on diagnosis and treatment. WVU Statler students cycling cross country for Journey of Hope

Each year, a group of Pi Kappa Phi members take on the challenge of a lifetime, pushing their limits and stepping into the unknown to make a difference.   This summer, Statler College seniors Austin Brown and James Carte are embarking on the Journey of Hope, a cross-country cycling expedition, pedal over 4,000 miles in 67 days from Seattle, Wash., to Washington, D.C.   Along the way, they’ll be champions for the disability community. WVU to induct six into Order of Vandalia

For their loyalty and service to West Virginia University, six Mountaineers will be inducted into the Order of Vandalia during a Friday ceremony.   The 2024 inductees are Patricia Bibbee, Sue Day-Perroots, Mike Fulton, Ranjit K. Majumder, Robert Orders and Sophia Peterson.    Bibbee, a Pittsburgh native and interior designer, has been an advocate for WVU alongside her late husband, Chuck Bibbee, a WVU graduate and tennis letterman, for more than 50 years. WVU School of Pharmacy celebrates 110 years with new Hall of Fame inductees

The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy announced the induction of new members into its Alumni Hall of Fame as part of its 110th anniversary celebration. This is the first group of inductees since the school’s centennial in 2014. Earlier this year, a public call for nominations resulted in the school receiving numerous entries. The nominations were evaluated by a nine-member screening committee that provided recommendations to the school’s external leadership council.
