Justice mining companies are all broke

Early this month, lawyers representing federal agencies asked for 23 coal companies owned by Gov. Jim Justice and his family to be held in contempt because over the past year they have made late payments or no payments at all on a settlement agreement over mine safety fines. Now, a lawyer for the Justice coal companies is responding in court that there’s a good reason: The companies have empty pockets. Gov. Jim Justice, whose family owns The Greenbrier Hotel Corp., promised employees at the resort won’t go without health insurance. “There is no way that the great union employees at The Greenbrier are going to go without insurance. The Dominion Post Advertising Department took home Best Advertisement of the Year honors at the recent West Virginia Press Association Conference, where awards were announced for the Advertising and Editorial Contest.  The Advertising staff won seven awards, including four first-place honors.
