REEDSVILLE — The State Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate a Wednesday fire that destroyed a Stull Hill home, off W.Va. 92. The owner came home from work Wednesday to find the double wide home mostly burnt to the ground. One of her dogs was found alive, but the other was not located, Newburg Fire Chief Bill Larew said. KINGWOOD — A Solid Waste Management Board Grant request was not approved for this year, according to Don Smith. Smith represents the Preston County Commission on the board. Money from the grant was going to be used to add a recycling center near Terra Alta. “There was no problem with what we were doing,” Smith said. “It was the location. It was too close to Terra Alta.” He said Terra Alta currently has a recycling center. Board members discussed information about a GP-05L System used to recycle glass.
