Farmers Market kicking off summer season

After finishing up the winter market season at the Mon County Center at Mylan Park, the Morgantown Farmers Market kicks off its summer season Saturday back downtown at the Morgantown Market Place on Spruce Street. The market will be held weekly at this space through November from 8:30 a.m.-noon Saturdays, and features a diverse group of farmers selling local food and goods. Products sold at the Morgantown Farmers Market are all produced within 50 miles of Morgantown by the vendors themselves. Quota Club of Morgantown launches shoe drive

Quota Club of Morgantown is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser through June 15, 2023, to raise funds for community projects. The club will earn funds based on the total weight of pairs of shoes collected. Shoes can be gently worn, used and new. At the end of the drive, Funds2Orgs will issue a check. Those dollars will benefit women, children, the deaf and hard-of-hearing and people with speech difficulties. South Korean insulin manufacturer to build facility in Morgantown

A lower-cost insulin manufacturer has taken the next step toward establishing a location in West Virginia. UNDBIO, a South Korean company, has secured a lease with West Virginia University to build an insulin manufacturing facility in Morgantown.
