Driver killed in side-by-side rollover on River Road

The driver of a side-by-side is dead following a rollover accident Friday on River Road. At about 8:11 p.m., Monongalia County Sheriff’s deputies responded a single-vehicle accident near the area of the dam. Once on scene, officers discovered a Polaris 1000 side-by-side had rolled on top of the driver. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, police said. This accident occurred on the railroad tracks near Edna Gas Road.
