‘Civil War’ shows horrors of war, on everyone
I HAVE BEEN SKEPTICAL OF ALEX GARLAND’S “CIVIL WAR” SINCE IT WAS ANNOUNCED. But this wasn’t the movie I was expecting. “Civil War” follows four journalists who are hoping to speak to the president as everyone is waiting for a final push from the Western Forces into Washington, D.C. As they make their way from New York to D.C., the more seasoned Lee helps the young Jessie find her footing as they navigate a wartorn American landscape. The performances are all topnotch.
