Williams, of Morgantown, is currently serving the end of his fifth term in the West Virginia House of Delegates District 80.
The husband, father and insurance professional ran on a platform of addressing the affordability crisis.
“From utility rates to child care and groceries, West Virginians are underwater,” Williams said. “The cost of living in Marion and Monongalia counties is my top priority.”
Williams said he believes “our communities deserve a voice in decisions that affect them,” specifically noting that communities should have a say when corporations want to put data centers in our backyards.
