2 min read

Linda R. Walls, 71, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at her family's farm in Fairview, WV.

Linda was born on June 30, 1955, in Fairmont, WV, the daughter of the late Claude J. “June” and Ella A. Walls.

A graduate of Clay-Battelle High School, Linda began her working career shortly after graduation at Seneca Glass in Morgantown. She later joined Mylan Pharmaceuticals, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service before retiring.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Wise Sr.; her beloved son, Richard Wise Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Fairview; and her cherished grandchildren, Joshua Aaron, Abigail Grace, Christina Alexandra, and Caleb James. She is also survived by her sister, Lois Norberg of Morgantown; and her nieces, Carla, Tracy, Jennifer, and Amy.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her infant twin brothers, Jesse Dee and Jimmy Lee Walls; her brother, Robert Walls; her brothers-in-law, Carl ‘Pete’ W. Norberg, Douglas ‘Mike’ Wise and her Father and Mother-in-law, Douglas Lee and Helen Louise Wise.

Above all, Linda treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. The family farm held a special place in her heart, and she enjoyed the time and memories made there.

Linda was also an enthusiastic sports fan who faithfully supported WVU athletics. Growing up, she was a San Francisco 49ers fan, but that all changed when her son, Richard, developed a love for the Dallas Cowboys. Naturally, Linda followed his lead and became a Cowboys fan herself.

Those who knew Linda will remember her genuine love for people and her servant’s heart. She enjoyed being around others, lending a helping hand, and offering kindness wherever it was needed. Helping others came naturally to Linda, and she found great joy in simply being there for the people around her.

Memorial services honoring Linda’s life will be held at the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at 1 PM. Visit www.fredjenkinsfuneralhome.com to offer words of comfort and sympathy.
