Zachary Michael Wildasin, 25, of Moon Township, Pa., passed away Thursday, September 24, 2026.
Zachary was born March 7, 2001, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Dawn and Eric Wildasin. He was a graduate of Moon Area High School and attended West Virginia University, where he studied computer science.
Zachary had a lifelong love of hockey. He played for the Moon Area Hockey Association (MAHA) and the Arctic Foxes Hockey Association. In 2018, he was a proud member of the MAHA Varsity Division 2 (D2) Championship team. His years playing hockey brought him many lasting friendships, memorable experiences, and a sense of accomplishment.
Away from work and hockey, Zachary loved cooking, golf, the outdoors, traveling, WVU & Steelers football, and spending time with his family. He especially cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Rocky. Whether exploring the outdoors, traveling to new places, or simply being with the people he loved, Zachary treasured the experiences and memories he made with family and friends.
Zachary was a hardworking and dedicated young man who worked as a plumber with Armstrong Comfort Solutions. He took pride in his work and enjoyed the friendships and connections he made along the way.
Zachary was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Timothy L. Wildasin of Arthurdale.
He is survived by his parents, Dawn and Eric Wildasin; his brothers, Kyle and Braden Wildasin of Moon Township.
On his maternal side, he is survived by grandparents, Wes and Pam Kenneweg of Butler, Pa.; Uncle John, Aunt Amy Kenneweg and cousins Jack, Emma, Noah, and Brooks Kenneweg of Sewickley, Pa.; and Uncle Mike, Aunt Christine Kenneweg, and cousins Adam, Chris (wife Makenna), Ava, and Lily Kenneweg of Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
On his paternal side, he is survived by grandmother, Mary Ellen Wildasin and Gary Shafer of Oakland, Md.; Aunt Julie Corwin and cousins Amelia, Madelynn, and Gillian Corwin of Morgantown; and Aunt Amy Wildasin-Carter and Uncle Mark Carter of Morgantown.
Zachary will be deeply missed by his parents, brothers, grandparents, extended family, friends, hockey teammates, coworkers, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a lifetime of memories filled with family, friendship, adventure, laughter, and love.
His time with us was far too short, but the love he gave and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed.

Copeland, Inc., 981 Brodhead Road, Moon Township. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. James Church, Sewickley, Friday, October 2 at 10:30 a.m. It is requested that EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH.
