It is with a heavy heart that the family of Marvin Ellis Settles, Jr., 48, announce the passing of their beloved son and brother Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Marvin was born October 4, 1977, to Tamarra Harris (Craig) and Marvin E. Settles (Toya).
Living with a disability for the past 31 years, Marvin lived his life to the best of his ability with his brother, Justin, always by his side. Justin would take Marvin wherever he wanted to go. Marvin loved to go fishing and always had a garden.
Marvin had a particularly challenging life, but despite his injury he remained loving, caring, giving, and witty. He learned to be as self- supporting as much as he could. Marvin's pain and suffering is over now; he is now with his God and a host of other family members and loved ones who welcomed him into Heaven.
Marvin may no longer be with us, but he will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. He had dreams of walking again in his final days, and so it is!
He is now walking hand in hand with his sister, Le Anna, who we also miss and love dearly.
Marvin is survived by his mother, Tamarra Harris (Craig); his father, Marvin E. Settles, Sr. (Toya); his devoted brother, Justin Settles (April); his maternal- grandmother, Leola Bryant; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a few special friends.

Friends will be received in the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, INC., 297 E. Main Street, Uniontown, Friday, September 25, from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. hour of service.
