John Edward Markusic, 88, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, in Orlando, Fla. Born October 17, 1937, John served honorably in the United States Navy, dedicating several years to national service. His commitment to his country was a significant aspect of his life, reflecting his deep sense of duty and patriotism.
John is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Hales and son-in-law, Craig Hales.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Markusic; and his wife of 54 years, Maryanne Markusic, whose memories remain a source of comfort and inspiration to the family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, September 25, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where friends and family will gather to honor John's life and legacy.
