Strangulation charges
Korbin Green, 25, of Kingwood, was arrested on Sept. 5 on strangulation charges. According to the criminal complaint, police responded to an apartment on Albright Avenue in Kingwood, because Green was "actively trying to kick down the door and was banging on the window" trying to gain entry to the apartment.
Green told the officer he was having a "little dispute" with the woman in the apartment.
Bodycam footage and a personal statement from the victim revealed that the two were "having a great night" and suddenly Green began choking her. According to the complaint, Green had both hands around the victim's neck and she said "had never been choked out like that before."
The victim explained that she had been dating the defendant for nine years on-and-off and they have a child together. Fresh bruising and red marks confirmed the victim's statement.
The defendant was placed under arrest later that day and was transported to the WV State Police Kingwood detachment for processing.
Domestic battery
Kyleigh Harris, 26, of Fairchance, Pa., was charged with domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance. According to the criminal complaint, police responded to a call at Big Bear Lake Camplands, Bruceton Mills, Preston County.
Ashley Rizer told police she was pushed down by Harris, whom she identified as her boyfriend, during an argument. Police discovered a substance that Harris identified as cocaine hidden in his sock during his arrest.
Harris was transported to Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment.
