Morgantown City Council opened Tuesday’s meeting with a proclamation and the presentation of a plaque recognizing the historic 2026 WVU Baseball season. The Mountaineers set a program record with 47 wins en route to WVU’s first appearance in the NCAA College World Series. The squad was among the final four teams left standing in Omaha and concluded the season ranked fourth nationally in most of the major college baseball polls.
