MORGANTOWN — West Virginia ran up 525 yards of offense and improved to 2-0 in a season for the first time since 2018, as the Mountaineers overran U.T. Martin, 52-7, inside Milan Puskar Stadium on Saturday.
Michael Hawkins Jr. passed for 155 yards and two scores and also added 96 yards rushing and two touchdowns in his second start of the season. West Virginia rushed for 316 yards as a team and averaged 8.3 yards per play.
The Mountaineers will travel to Charlotte next week to face No. 25 Virginia.
