Brenda Louise Dawson, 84, of Cheat Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 3, 2026, in the Kingwood Healthcare Center.
She was born January 19, 1942, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Gilbert and Norma Myers.
Brenda was a faithful member of the Cheat Lake United Methodist Church.
Early in life, she worked at the Morgan Shirt Company before dedicating herself to her home and raising her children. In 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, Melvin "Butch" Dawson, who survives her.
While she enjoyed crocheting, camping, and taking long drives, Brenda's greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her grandson, Shane Rotruck.
Along with her beloved husband, she is survived by her two daughters, Robin Rotruck, and Kelly Korzun and husband Wayne; her son, Christopher Dawson and wife Katie; six grandchildren, Courtney Barnett (Jeremy), Aaron Rotruck (Hanna), Justin Rotruck (Addi), Corey Korzun (Lisa), Tristan Dawson, and Easton Dawson; and six cherished great- grandchildren, Piper, Sophie, Scarlett, Arthur, Clara, and Cullen.
