Cynthia Mae "Cindy" Broadwater, 62, of Reedsville, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Cindy was many things to many people, but most importantly, she was a caregiver and a provider. For 18 years, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a certified nursing assistant. Her caring nature, generosity, and willingness to help others extended far beyond her work. Cindy was a daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend--and she made an impact in every role she had.

Cindy is survived by her children, David Daniel DeBerry, Jr. of Reedsville, and Brandy Elaine Broadwater and her spouse, Chadwick Lancaster of Moundsville; and daughter-in- law, Amanda Knotts of Kingwood.

She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Rowan DeBerry and his spouse, Dililah, Savannah Fields of Masontown, Tristan Berkley of Kingwood, and Dawson Lancaster of Moundsville; as well as her great-grandson, Declan DeBerry, who was truly the joy of her life.

She is also survived by her siblings, James Broadwater, Jr. and his spouse, Sheila, of Morgantown; Richard Broadwater of Reedsville; and Eugene Broadwater and his spouse, Lisa, of South Carolina. She also leaves behind five nephews, one niece, and one great- nephew, along with numerous cousins, friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Broadwater; mother, Doris Jean Broadwater; her granddaughter, Alyvia Kemis; her spouse of more than 20 years, David Daniel DeBerry, Sr.; and sister- in-law, Margret Broadwater.

She was one of a kind, deeply loved, and will never be forgotten.

Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.

At her request, no services are planned.
