West Virginia Senators Joey Garcia, D - Marion 13, left, and Mike Oliverio, R - Monongalia 13, recently sat down with Jonathan Hostutler, Mickey Rinehart, Hunter Tenney and Debbie Rinehart of the River Road Volunteer Fire Department to discuss some of the challenges facing the state’s volunteer fire departments and the specific needs of the River Road VFD. During the visit, Garcia and Oliverio presented the department with a check for $6,000 in Local Economic Development Assistance funds to purchase four new automated external defibrillators to be placed in the department’s trucks.
