The Terra Alta Civic Club recently met at the Terra Alta Ambulance Hall.
Present were Dori Braniff, Carolyn Cosner, Mary Jo Gregg, Marilyn Metheny, Robin Turner and Charlotte Wiles.
The Civic Club is selling raffle tickets with a $500 prize. The money raised will support club projects such as the academic scholarship, Terra Alta Ambulance and the Senior luncheon. Tickets will be sold at the Alpine Music fest, Alpine Octoberfest and the Buckwheat Festival and from any member. Drawing will be Sunday, Sept. 27, at 3:30 p.m.
The Senior Luncheon will be held Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at the Alpine Boathouse. Members will be calling seniors 80 years and older this year and reside in the Portland District. Reservations MUST be made as seating is limited.
The Terra Alta Civic Club is grateful to Alpine Lake Resort property owners for their continued support of its community projects.
Officers for the 2026-27 year are President – Mary Jo Gregg, Vice President - Carolyn Cosner, Treasurer - Charlotte Wiles, Recording Secretary - Marilyn Metheny, and Historian - Robin Turner. They will be installed at the September meeting.
August birthday is Mary Jo Gregg, August 27.
The Civic Club of Terra Alta welcomes new members. All that is required is a desire to meet new people and contribute to the greater community by volunteering your time and talent. General meetings are scheduled April through December but you can join at any time. Open to all ages, ladies and gentlemen, please consider joining us to better our Terra Alta community.
