MORGANTOWN — The No. 23 West Virginia University men’s soccer team hosts St. Bonaventure at 6 p.m. Monday, at Dick Dlesk Stadium for its home opener.
Single-game tickets are available to purchase in advance by visiting WVUGAME.com or calling 1-800-WVU GAME. When purchasing online, tickets are $12 each. Any remaining tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for youth and seniors at the stadium ticket window on match day.
The Mountaineers (0-1) opened the 2026 season on the road at Charlotte, falling to the 49ers, 3-0. The Mountaineers are coming off 13-5-3 season and their third straight NCAA tournament appearance. In the Sun Belt Preseason Coaches’ Poll, WVU was picked to win the league, the first time the Mountaineers are preseason favorites since 2022.
Senior Pablo Pozos was named the 2026 Sun Belt Preseason Offensive Player of the Year after tallying 11 goals and three assists in his first season with the Mountaineers. Junior midfielders Isaac Scheer and Nacho Martinez joined Pozos on the Preseason All-Conference team.
Overall, the Mountaineers return 15 players from last year’s squad, while adding 15 newcomers. Six players join WVU out of the transfer portal while there are nine first-year college players on the roster.
St. Bonaventure is led by second-year head coach Mick Giordano, who is 4-9-3 during his time with the Bonnies, who defeated Niagara 2-0 in their season opener.
In the preseason coaches’ poll, St. Bonaventure was picked 12th. Jack Steel and Kyle Macfarlane each scored in the win over Niagara, while Winston Jory made two saves in the shutout.
