William Travis Tracy

William Travis Tracy, 42, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026, while enjoying a vacation at his river home in Hinton. He was born April 19, 1984.

A successful businessman and entrepreneur in Morgantown, Travis was known for his passion, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit. He was also an avid WVU fan and took great pride in cheering on the Mountaineers.

Those who knew Travis will remember his unforgettable laugh, fun-loving personality, and ability to make everyone around him smile. He had a wide circle of friends and admirers whose lives were touched by his friendship and generosity.

Beyond his success in business, one of Travis's greatest joys was cooking and bringing people together. He loved making others laugh, feel welcome, and, above all, be happy.

Travis was preceded in death by his younger brother, Loren Tracy.

He is survived by his father, Bill, and mother, Ruth; as well as aunts, uncles, extended family, and countless friends, who will deeply miss him.

A special thank-you goes to Travis's longtime friends, who shared in so many memorable moments and helped make his life a ride to remember. Travis will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A memorial service to honor the life of Travis was held at 4 p.m. Friday, August 14, in Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston. Friends gathered from 2 until the 4 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
