Arnettsville Farmers Market
Arnettsville Farmers Market is open for the season on Mondays from 4 to 6 p.m. at 4120 Fairmont Road, Morgantown. Follow Arnettsville Farmers Market on Facebook. WVU Core Arboretum Nature Connection Series
Nature Connection Series talks happen at 6 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the WVU Core Arboretum Amphitheater through late August. These talks are free and open to the public, and no registration is required. All of the talks are outdoors, so please dress for the weather. Talks will be canceled and rescheduled if the weather is inclement. Come and join the WVU Core Arboretum nature connection crew!

Monongalia County Parks & Recreation Summer Concert Series
All concerts are scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or camp chairs, let the kids run up and down the hill, and enjoy the music! Kids of all ages can pop bubbles, wave streamers, and dance with hula hoops to add to the dancing fun! For each concert, the park will have concessions available, however, coolers are welcome. Tickets are $5/person – Cash only. Children 6 and under get in free. Well-behaved pets are welcomed and must remain on a leash. Food trucks will be on hand.

-- The Preston County Health Department will be holding a free poverty simulation from 10 a.m. to noon at Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department and Community building at 115 Brown Avenue in Kingwood. Lunch will be provided. The Community Action Poverty Simulation is an interactive activity that helps people understand what it can be like to live in poverty. During the simulation, participants take part in role-playing activities that show real-life challenges many families face every day. These challenges may include finding housing, paying bills, getting to work, finding childcare and accessing healthcare. CAPS helps build understanding and empathy, encourages important conversations and inspires people to work together to support stronger and healthier communities. -- Gary C. Martin Memorial Ride will start at 9 a.m. at East Marion Park, 35 City View Terrace, Fairmont. This is a fully supported Gran Fondo-style group road bike ride starting in East Marion Park in Fairmont, sponsored by Pike Street Bikes and Country Roads Physical Therapy. The event offers two routes for different skill levels: a 30 miler with 2000 feet of elevation gain and 40 miler with 3000 feet of elevation gain. Both routes feature some of the most stunning scenery in Marion County from Prickett's Fort State Park, the Barrackville Covered Bridge, to the highest point in Marion County, Kincaid Knob. A post-ride lunch will be provided. Registration is free.

The WV Tattoo Expo returns to Morgantown this August for its 12th Annual event, bringing together some of the best tattoo artists, collectors, and fans from across the country for three days of tattoo culture, creativity, and community. Featuring 200+ licensed tattoo artists, the expo will include live tattooing and piercing, tattoo contests, vendors, special guests, and unique experiences for attendees of all ages. The expo will be at Morgantown Event Center at Marriott Waterfront Place. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.
