Former WVU football star Stedman Bailey arrested for indecent exposure in mall

Former West Virginia football star Stedman Bailey was arrested by police in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on charges of having intercourse in a mall. The alleged encounter took place about 12:30 a.m. on Monday, July 27, inside Pembroke Lakes Mall near the arcade bar. Bailey and his partner, Karina Manderson, were arrested on charges of indecent exposure.
Bailey played in 39 games over three seasons with the Mountaineers at wide receiver from 2010-12. In 2011, Bailey led the Big East with 1,279 yards and 12 touchdowns. The following year, now in the Big 12, Bailey improved and tallied 1,622 yards and led the conference with 114 catches. He led the FBS with 25 touchdowns, tied for second all-time with Randy Moss. Bailey was drafted by the St. Louis Rams in 2013.
He played for the Rams from 2013-15 after being selected in the third round. In three years, Bailey caught 59 total passes for 843 yards and two touchdowns, also adding 46 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown.
Bailey’s football career came to a close at 25 years old after he was shot multiple times in the head in 2015 while sitting in a car.
He was inducted into the WVU Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
