American Legion Auxiliary Unit 174 hosted a Patriotic Tea Party at Mountaineer Post 174 at 3470 Earl Core Road, Morgantown, on July 20.
American Legion Auxiliary trivia games were played, and door prizes were awarded for Most Patriotically Dressed and Best Patriotic Hat.
The Unit Member of the Year was awarded to Lisa Little, and members, guests and volunteers were honored along with a swearing-in of unit officers for 2026-27.
Many types of tea were offered with different flavorings, as well as cookies, crackers, cheese, jams and jellies.
Officers for the upcoming year were sworn in by Linda Sanders, auxiliary member/Poppy chairman: President-Sandra Harper; Vice President-Tracy Lipscomb; Secretary-Beth Rossana; Treasurer-Shawnda Cook; Chaplain-Alice Wilmouth/Frances Mathess; and Sergeant at Arms-Lisa Little.
