Roy Barron Leonard, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, in WVU Medicine JW Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Fairmont February 22, 1952, a son of the late Wallace F. and Josephine Marie Cavallo Leonard.
Roy was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and attended Fairmont State College.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Roy retired from Carpet One after 30 years of service.
In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, bowling and singing. Roy was a member of his high school choir and later sang with an adult choir. He most cherished his time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sydni Broadwater and her fiance Morgan Peterson; sister, Madonna Leonard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his brother, Guy Leonard; and sister, Dolores Leonard Cavallo.
In keeping with his wishes, Roy will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 1, in the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2 p.m., with Pastor Steve Stemple presiding.
