Roy Barron Leonard, 74, of Morgantown, WV, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at WVU Medicine JW Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born in Fairmont, WV on February 22, 1952, the son of the late Wallace F and Josephine Marie (Cavallo) Leonard.
Roy was a graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and attended Fairmont State College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Roy retired from Carpet One after 30 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, bowling and singing. Roy was a member of his high school choir and later sang with an adult choir. He most cherished his time with his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Sydni Broadwater and her fiancé Morgan Peterson; sister Madonna Leonard; and several nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother Guy Leonard and sister Dolores Leonard Cavallo.
In keeping with his wishes Roy will be cremated, and a Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant Street, Fairmont, West Virginia, from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Steve Stemple presiding.
