Lucy Ann Labin

Lucy Ann Labin, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in the city where she was born and where she spent her life surrounded by family, faith, and community.
Born March 28, 1952, in Morgantown, Lucy carried with her a steady spirit, a warm heart, and a gracious presence that touched many lives. She was known for her kindness, her strength, and the genuine care she showed to those around her. Throughout her life, she built lasting relationships and left a meaningful impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lucy took pride as a sales executive for WCLG and WBOY, where she was respected for her professionalism, dedication, and ability to connect with others. Her work reflected the same integrity and commitment that she brought to every part of her life. She approached her responsibilities with diligence and pride, and she was admired for the way she represented herself and her community.
Faith and her relationship with Jesus Christ were an important part of Lucy’s life, and she loved serving her Lord with her brothers and sisters at Kingdom: A Community Church. Her devotion to her faith was evident in the way she lived, the encouragement she offered, and the compassion she extended to others. She found joy in fellowship and in the shared bonds of worship and service.
Lucy is survived by her son, Huston Matthew Strader and wife Jessica; her stepchildren, Tiffany Evans and husband Dennis, Douglas Strader and wife Amy; brother, John Joseph Labin; her grandchildren—“her girls” — Olivia and Madison Strader; and stepgrandchildren, Ben, Ainsley, Blue, Parker, and Christian; as well as nieces and nephews, Daniel (Mary), Aaron (Jamie), Regan, Joann (Eric); great-nieces and nephews, Max, Corinne, Eric, Carter, Isabella. She leaves behind so many, who will cherish her memory and hold close the love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer “Bud” Labin and JoAnn Goff Labin; her brother, Col. Daniel L. Labin; her sister-in-law, Carole Labin; her stepgrandson, Cody; and her niece, Chon Sparks. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she carried their love with her always.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30, in Kingdom: A Community Church, 540 Fairmont Road, Westover, where visitation will continue Friday, July 31, from 10 until the memorial service begins at 11 a.m., with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. Following the service, Lucy will be inurned in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, beside her parents.
