The historic Scott’s Run Settlement House in Osage is all decked out for Christmas, and the countdown is on to the 2nd Annual Fill a Home for Christmas fundraiser to be held from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on July 18.
In addition to Santa Claus, the event will feature food trucks, games for kids, tours of the Settlement House and door prizes from Lefty’s Pizza, This and That Bakery and River Fair Trade. There will also be tickets to a West Virginia Black Bears game for the first 30 donors.
Working in partnership with Paradise Homes, this is the organization’s largest Christmas fundraiser of the year.
“Last year, we were able to serve over 700 children in Monongalia County by providing a shopping experience for our clients in which they were able to come into our gymnasium and shop for their kids from the items placed out for their selection,” Scott’s Run Settlement House Executive Director Brian Butcher explained. “This program provides an incredible resource to our county and ensures equity for our participants through the unique delivery of this program.”
Individuals and organizations are encouraged to stop by the Settlement House (41 Ladybug Drive, Osage) any time on Thursday or Friday throughout the month of July to drop off gifts.
Community and corporate sponsorship opportunities are available starting at $100.
