Carol Ann Crawford, 69, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, in The Enclave Nursing Home in Barnesville, Ohio. She was born April 24, 1957, in Clarksburg. She was the beloved daughter of the late Richard Hamilton and the late Rose Hamilton.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Steven Crawford; and brother, Samuel, whose memory remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Cat Crawford; and her sons, Thomas Crawford and Matt Crawford, all of whom brought her great pride and joy. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley, Sally and Barb, who will cherish her memory and the many ways she touched their lives.
Carol devoted her career to caring for others as a nurse, serving at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Mon General Hospital, and Health South Rehab Center. Her work reflected the very best of who she was. She was compassionate, dependable, and deeply committed to the comfort and well-being of her patients.
Outside of her professional life, Carol found joy in the simple and meaningful things that made life rich. She was an avid animal lover and had a special affection for the companionship and comfort that animals bring. She also loved to travel and appreciated the opportunity to see new places and make lasting memories along the way.
Friends may gather in McCulla Funeral Home Monday, July 6, from 4 to 6 p.m. and again Tuesday, July 7, from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
