Linda Lee Bierkamper, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Mon Health Medical Center. She was born May 2, 1951 in Lincoln, Nebr., a daughter of the late Willard Dean and Jo Ann Lee Jackson Lorensen.
She was a devoted member of the Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church and grew up in the South Park community.
She was a 1969 graduate of Morgantown High School and from West Virginia University with a degree in nursing.
She worked for over 30 years in the NICU, ICU and ER as a trusted and caring nurse.
She had a way of making ordinary moments feel special and brought sayings like “cool beans” that made others smile. She was a good friend to her church community and was generous with her knitting and baked treats.
She is survived by her loving children, Anna Bischoff (Bryan) and Charles Bierkamper (Kristen); grandchildren, Margot Bischoff, Andrew Bierkamper, and Caroline Bierkamper; and siblings, Judge Charles Lorensen (Pam) and Judge Michel Lorensen (Maria).
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband in 1988, George Bierkamper; and brother, Rick Lorensen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 450 Arch Street, Morgantown, WV 26501.
A memorial service will be held at Reformation Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 450 Arch Street, Morgantown, Saturday, April 18, at 2 p.m., with Jonathan Hutchison officiating. At the conclusion of the service, friends and family are invited to continue to celebrate her life at the church until 4 p.m.
