Morgantown Utility Board announces upcoming paving work on Fayette, Spruce and Walnut streets as part of recently completed waterline improvement projects.

MUB contractor Parrotta Paving will mill and pave Fayette Street and a section of Spruce Street at the traffic signal from Monday through Wednesday, April 20–22, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. This work follows the installation of 320 feet of new 2-inch waterline along Fayette Street. During construction, a single lane of traffic will be maintained on Spruce Street at all times.

In addition, Parrotta Paving will mill and pave Walnut Street from University Avenue to the Monongahela River during the same time period. This portion of the project concludes installation of a 26-inch waterline that was bored approximately 50 feet beneath the Monongahela River. Walnut Street will be closed to traffic within the active work zone during construction hours.

Both Fayette and Walnut streets will reopen to traffic during nonwork hours each day.
