Fire tore through an auto repair shop at 1851 Mileground Road during the height of the evening commute Monday afternoon — prompting police to close the busily traveled roadway while multiple crews battled the blaze.
Passing motorists reported seeing flames shooting from the roof of the structure around 4:45 p.m. Gas pumps at the Sheetz next door were also shut off as a precaution.
PH-Q Pride Honesty Quality Inc. is the business name associated with the address.
No injuries were reported.
