George Joseph “Juko” Storey, Jr., a beloved member of the Morgantown community, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 96. George was born July 28, 1929, in Morgantown, to the late George Joseph Storey and Edna Morris Storey.
George was a proud graduate of Morgantown High School and dedicated over 26 years as a laborer for the City of Morgantown, contributing significantly to the development and well- being of his community. His unwavering commitment to his work and the people around him was a testament to his character and dedication.
George maintained a strong faith as a Protestant, which guided him throughout his journey.
He is survived by his cousins, Cheryl Morris, Cathy Shaffer, and Jeanie Trovato.
In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his sister, Edna J. Storey.
George’s legacy will be remembered by all those who were honored to know him.

Friends and family will be received in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 12 noon, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
